How to use our SMTP servers for sending e-mail

PC-One provides SMTP access for the e-mail accounts hosted on our servers. It is preferred that our SMTP server is used for sending e-mail for the e-mail addresses on your domain. When other SMTP servers are used, there is a possibility that your e-mail message may be identified as SPAM because it did not originate from a PC-One server. If there is another server you regularly use or prefer, please contact us with the server name so that we may update the domain's SPF record.

To send e-mail through our SMTP services, please configure your e-mail client with the following information:

SMTP Server – mail.pc-one.net (alternatively, mail.yourdomain.com works as well) Port – 25 or 587

All of our servers require SMTP authentication. Please check the box in your e-mail client that refers to this. This option is typically called, "My outgoing SMTP server requires authentication." The username and password is the same as your pop3 (login) information.

Remember, your username is the same as your full e-mail address.

Many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are now beginning to block port 25 to help cut down on spam. Because of this, we have setup an alternative method to use our SMTP server. If you are having trouble accessing our servers on port 25, please reconfigure your e-mail client to use SMTP on port 587. Remember, SMTP authentication must be enabled for this to work.
